Athena is a nice dog who just turned 2 years old.
Even though Athena’s birthday could have gone by without much fuss, her family would never let that happen.
Instead, they got their dog a memorable gift to commemorate her special day.
On Athena’s birthday, Hayleigh Powell and her family lavished their dog with extra love and care throughout the day, but they saved the best for last.
After all, no birthday celebration would be complete without a song and a cake.
“I kept the cake a complete surprise from her, making sure she didn’t see it,” Powell told The Dodo.
Athena could not have been happier when it was time for the big reveal:
“It felt amazing seeing her so happy,” Powell said. “I definitely think she felt special.”
Without a doubt, Athena could feel the affection. And she could also taste it.
Powell considers Athena and her dog siblings to be more than simply pets; they are family. Therefore, it makes sense to celebrate their birthdays in grand fashion.
“I want them to have the best experiences they can have,” Powell said.
