When dogs Kinley and Lily first met each other, their chemistry was just undeniable and they immediately got along really, really well. The next thing they knew, they are already the best of friends. Slowly, their beautiful friendship blossomed into one that is very heartwarming.
Kinley was just six months old when she lost her hearing but the cause was never determined and ever since then, she has been fully deaf. While she is already well-adjusted to being deaf, there are still times that it makes her anxious especially when she doesn’t know what is going on around her. But that anxiety slowly got better when Kinley met Lily.
Lily joined Kinley’s family as a service dog for her mom Bridget Evans. And it wasn’t long before their mom and the whole family realized Lily’s impact on Kinley and that Lily too could sort of be a service dog as well for her. According to Bridget, Kinley grew more confident and comfortable when Lily came and she was always relying on her if there was anything that she needed to know.
And one of those many things is their favorite activity which is walk time.
In their video which has now become viral with over 2.7 million views, Bridget asked Lily to get Kinley when it was time for them to walk. Lily then turned back to where Kinley was, gave her a little boop, and moments after, the two were seen trodding and excited to go outside. And from there, the natural connection between them took over, and Lily would always go to Kinley and tell her when it’s time to go.
Navigating can still be difficult for Kinley at times but with Lily by her side, there is no challenge that she can’t win.
