A group of people rescued a small dog in the Bahamas, and it was hard for them to figure out what kind of dog Millie was because her fur was so matted that it turned into dreadlocks.
It hurt Millie when she tried to walk because the thick dreads that covered her face made moving her arms and legs hard. She was also malnourished, thin, and had a lot of ticks all over her body.
People say this dog is only three years old and was neglected for most of her young life. A group of kind people from the Bahamas Humane Society found her and gave her a new look.
It took a long time for the team to cut Millie’s hair, give her medical and dental care, and help her learn to trust.
One of the Bahamas Humane Society volunteers took Millie home at first. She wanted to foster Millie on her rescue farm and get her ready for adoption, but her plan failed. Millie found a new home with her.
Patricia fell in love with Millie and couldn’t bear to let her go, so she adopted her into her family.
