After Spending Most Of Her Life Inside A Cage, Neglected Dog Finally Gets The Chance To Live Free And Happy

When Liszka was found by rescuers, she was living in a cramped and filthy cage that didn’t give her enough room to move around. In fact, she couldn’t even fully stand inside it. Her life is really heartbreaking, and no one knew exactly how long she had been suffering.

 

The damage to her body and mind was very evident. She was extremely emaciated, and her leg muscles were very weak from the lack of movement. When she was then taken out of her cage, she couldn’t stretch them fully. Each day could have been her last.

 

Thankfully though, a group of rescuers didn’t give up on taking the poor pooch from her cruel owner.

 

Chance encounter

 

Liszka wasn’t really the target for rescue by the team from OTOZ Animals, a nonprofit animal charity group based in Poland. The team received a report about an abused male dog and went to the home of the owner to save the poor pooch. When they were there, they noticed that a female dog was living miserably inside a crate.

 

She was tucked in one corner of the yard, and they couldn’t get close as the property owner got aggressive. So they just took the abused male dog with them.

 

The rescuers couldn’t get the other dog out of their minds, so they decided to go back. This time, they asked police officers to join them. Despite the protestations of the cruel owner, they were able to get Liszka.

 

Running around

 

After she was taken to the group’s shelter, Liszka was placed in a treatment program. She got regular therapy and more importantly, shown how it is to be loved and cared for. Soon, he was running around, enjoying the feeling of freedom.

 

With her physical and mental trauma gone, Liszka found a new loving forever home. She is finally living the life of a beloved pet and spends a lot of time feeling the grass under her paws.
