Ruby is a one-of-a-kind therapy dog with a unique personality. She has never been very vicious or active; rather, she is a dog who enjoys sitting around and being lovely company for its owner.
Her owners were taken aback when she refused to stop barking for more than an hour and a half on one particular day.
Ruby’s owner, Ronene Ando, was startled that Ruby would be so aggressive about something she had never been before.
“Dogs typically are pretty intuitive, I believe [pit bulls] even more so, with all the research I’ve done,” Ronene explained.
Fortunately, Ruby’s instincts proved to be true. There was something seriously wrong with the situation.
Ruby brought Ronene and her husband downstairs and outside their fence, where they discovered a leaking heater tank. Ruby’s owners were with her.
Ruby recognized that something was wrong despite the fact that the gas was odorless and invisible. She intervened to save everyone’s lives.
Dogs were capable of detecting anything as complex as carbon monoxide, which just goes to show how incredibly intelligent these animals are!
