Ivette Ivens, 25, of Chicago, knew it was a sign when she found a French bulldog puppy born on the same day as her newborn son Dilan. “I saw Farley’s birth date and just knew it’s meant to be,” Ivens told the Daily Mail as cited in Bored Panda.
It was only five months ago when Farley, the family bulldog puppy, moved in with them. Almost since then, he’s been following Dilan almost everywhere he goes. “I’m pretty sure Dilan thinks they’re both the same species, as they walk at the same level and are both going through the stage of chewing on everything.”
The two of them take a snooze together, and Farley is patient with Dilan while he plays with him. If Iven’s were to describe their relationship in one word, it would be this: “…pure, unconditional, irreplaceable and inseparable”, Farley is very gentle and clumsy at times – we have to remember he is still only a baby, too”, she added.
According to Ivens, “He cleans up Dilan’s mess after he eats, and always licks Dilan’s neck if he is crying, so he starts laughing out loud”.
For some reason, Farley makes young Dilan laugh, despite the fact that he is normally a happy baby. For the family, seeing them together is a source of great delight.
