Michi might look like a cute, cuddly teddy bear, but that wasn’t always the case. Michi was walking around the streets of Bali with a painful and life-threatening head injury when they found her.
They knew she needed to get to a veterinarian immediately, but when they went to rescue her, she raced into a drain and buried herself deep beneath it! They waited in the gutter for the rescue team for three hours. It seems like hope and a tiny bit of smoke were the only means of releasing her.
When she finally got to the vet, it turned out that the hole in her head was full of maggots. It could have been caused by a person or by a fight with another dog. One thing was for sure: she needed help.
Mission Paws’ible’s main goal is to help dogs relax by giving them a safe, quiet, and calm place to rest, usually in their own homes. They start treatment based on what’s wrong with the dog, like a skin problem, and make sure it gets a healthy, nutrient-rich raw diet with supplements to boost its immune system.
Keeping a strong routine, like when to eat, go for a walk, or sleep, also helps them get used to their new home and calm down. They also find that other healthy, fully vaccinated dogs help other dogs who have been through a lot to heal faster. When newly rescued dogs see how other dogs and people treat each other, they learn how to get along with others and trust people.
Michi was diagnosed with parvovirus after she moved to a foster home. This virus is very contagious and can spread through direct or indirect contact with an infected dog. Michi could have gotten it before she went to the clinic, and the shot could have made it show up, or she could have gotten it at the clinic. This is why foster homes that are safe and secure are so important. Michi was mature enough and had a strong immune system, which helped her fight the virus and keep her alive.
The day Michi met her future mom, Saffron, was very heartwarming. Her perfect match had arrived, which made them all cry. Michi now lives in Bali with Saffron and her other rescue dog, Garscon. Together, the three of them make a pretty special little family.
Let’s say that everyone who wants to adopt is carefully checked out, starting with an online application. Once they get the application, they call the person to finalize more important details and see how interested and committed they really are in getting a new pet. They need to do a full check of the house to make sure it is fully fenced and safe.
When Saffron drove for an hour and a half to meet Michi, they hit it off right away. As Michi was still getting better from parvo, they sat together in the clinic. From the start, they were close. They knew right away that Michi was in the right place.
Michi is so loved now. This was only possible because of the help of dog lovers all over the world.
They want to help even more dogs like Michi. So, they started The Healing Centre, a custom-made doggie dream home for the rescued animals. This means that they will be able to save a lot more animals and help them get better so they can be adopted.
Mission Paws’ible is an Australian charity that is registered and tax-deductible. It works with the Indonesian charity Yayasan Proyek Peduli and the US charity Global Canine Cavalry, which is also registered and tax-deductible.
Mission Paws’ible was started in 2015 with the goal of getting people who care about animals and want to save them to work together.
Its goal is to help, educate, inspire, and motivate people to rescue, rehabilitate, and find new homes for animals in need. Eventually, it wants to stop animals from suffering, lower the number of animals that are put down, reduce the number of animals that are dumped, and put puppy mills and backyard breeders out of business.
They help a lot of animals on the ground by rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding new homes for them. They also spread the love by giving donated food, medicine, and money to trusted people who spend time helping the homeless.
