Indeed, there is no shortage of adorable and innovative Halloween costumes for pets who are willing to participate. While it is one thing to wear a costume, being the costume is quite another.
Simply ask Keki — a.k.a. “Mop Dog.”
The lovely puli, a Hungarian cattle dog renowned for its long, curly hair, stood out among the dressed canines during Covington, Kentucky’s MainStrasse Paw-Rade a few years ago. Although it was not a contest, she did an excellent job of “cleaning up” in the praising section.
Except for Keki, it’s difficult to convey the essence of that ubiquitous floor-cleaning device. Clearly, she is owning this. The most endearing aspect of her “Mop Dog” costume is the ease with which she dons it.
Rather than waddling around in a more cumbersome costume, Keki was able to sit back and relax with her owner as hundreds of her now-adoring admirers passed by.
“[She] loved the attention and petting she received,” a person close to Keki told The Dodo.
If only falling in love with “Mop Dog” was as simple as attracting her special attention. After all, the floors of our hearts could always need a good cleaning from such a sweet pup.
