When Joule’s human parents leave the house for work or errands, she has acute separation anxiety. As soon as they walk right out the door, Joule’s father says that the dog would start whining like a crazed puppy.
Joule is fortunate in that she has a cat sibling named Kelvin who keeps her company while her humans are away. The fur parents wanted to be more confident that their fur babies were safe at home while they were away, so they installed security cameras in every available location.
Joule and Kelvin’s mother have discovered that her fur kids get along because she frequently finds them in the same room. However, until the security cameras were installed, she and her partner had no idea how much time their two pet spent together.
As soon as the security camera was set, the couple began watching what was happening and noticed Kelvin jumping on the couch, rubbing up against Joule, and pressing his face onto hers. They were indeed very much surprised when they saw Kelvin cuddling up to Joule in the video.
The fur mom revealed that Joule was always the first one to leap up on the couch, followed by Kelvin. She discovered that it takes a little longer for her two fur babies to get into the ideal position, but once they do, they fall asleep quickly.
It was also like clockwork every day, according to the fur-mama, because it happened every time they left for work. When Kelvin sensed Joule was uncomfortable or restless, he would rub against her on the couch.
The fur dad noted that Joule grew accustomed to him and his partner leaving the house and that he was no longer anxious after spending the entire day alone with Kelvin. The fur parents expressed their gratitude to Kelvin for assisting Joule and being patient with her.
